Ben Myers

Chief Marking Officer, North America
If you ask Ben where he’s from you best pack a lunch as it takes a bit of explaining. Born in Nebraska, he moved with his family throughout the United States before attending Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA for college. So let’s say he’s a Midwesterner. As a college baseball player Myers dreamed of one day pitching in the Bigs. Unfortunately he couldn’t seem to eek an extra 10 mph out of his left arm so he took his management degree and went into the advertising game instead. He started his career in Dallas at The Richards Group where he cut his teeth on a variety of clients including Pergo Flooring, Bernhardt Furniture, Red Lobster, The Patrón Spirits Company, and GameStop. Eventually Myers decided to see how his Midwestern sensibilities and work ethic would play at BBDO in New York City. As a VP, Integration Account Director on Bank of America, he was the strategic and project lead for the small business segment managing over ten agencies to launch the bank’s new capabilities in servicing small business clients. Ben was then given the opportunity to run the US brand work for GE, launching fully-integrated campaigns for the 2012 Olympic games and the Industrial Internet. Myers later joined Droga5 in 2013 as Group Account Director leading some of the agency's largest clients including Motorola, four franchises for Blizzard Entertainment, Pizza Hut, Pier 1, HBO’s Game of Thrones, among others. Always a hand-raiser for new business opportunities, he shifted his career from account management into business development, joining Johannes Leonardo as Head of Business Development in 2018.  During his time at JL, the independent agency experienced significant growth, earning new business from Volkswagen, Kraft-Heinz, Amazon, Uber, and Instagram among others as the agency collected industry accolades such as #3 on AdAge’s A-List and Adweek’s 2020 Breakthrough Agency of the Year. Ben Myers (very) recently joined TBWA as CMO of North America. In his new role he is focused on growth through the Collective’s expanding canvas of capabilities and services and legacy of disruptive creativity. Perhaps he’s ready to admit that advertising is a more natural fit than he and the diamond. Perhaps…
